Lunch Hour Workshops

Free lunch hour workshops will be presented by leading composers and musicologists to give a greater insight into one of the works on each subscription program.

Each workshop commences at 1.10pm in Leighton Hall, Scientia UNSW. All welcome, bookings not required.


Workshop One - Thursday March 14, 1.10pm

James Crabb, guest artist for the 1st concert in the 2013 subscription series, will be presenting and discussing various works for accordion and ensemble.

Workshop Two - Thursday April 18, 1.10pm

Antonin Dvorak's Majestic String Quintet in Gmajor with guest artist Kees Boesma

Workshop Four - Thursday August 8, 1.10pm

2013 is the 100th anniversary of the birth of Benjamin Britten, and Professor Roger Covell will be presenting Britten's String Quartet No.1 in D.

Workshop Five - Thursday September 5, 1.10pm

Johann Sebastian Bach's Sonata in B minor for Flute and Keyboard will be presented by Associate Professor Dorottya Fabian

Workshop Six - Thursday October 10, 1.10pm

Nigel Butterley will be presenting his newly commissioned work for the Australia Ensemble, Remembering Pierrot.
